Zinc Etching and Chine Collé with Hand Color on Somerset Velvet Newsprint, Varied Edition of 20
Adding texture with Aquatint (I tried using a very DIY photocopy transfer technique to fill in the forms with specifically frog skin and cashmere textures, but the plate was too small and the black-and-white transfers too grainy for these to be very visible). This is the back of another etched plate, and the marks along the sides are the remnants of past baths. I particularly like the impression left by a little bit of magazine on the right hand edge.
Many of the prints came out 'fuzzy' because I had trouble keeping the korean rice paper at the right moisture level-- this is from paper that was too wet. The snot is from a neocolor water soluble pastel.
